Call for 2 PhD positions

We’re happy to announce that the OriKunda project has two 3-year positions for PhD students, starting on 1 October 2023.

The first PhD subproject is intended to explore the historical and anthropological linguistic components of the project by conducting a comparative analysis of cultural vocabulary. For full details on the position and how to apply, see the advertisement from the CNRS job portal.

The second PhD subproject will explore the sociolinguistic aspects of the Chikunda language as spoken in Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique, providing a comparative analysis of each variety’s internal dynamics as well as influencing factors specific to each country. For full details on the position and how to apply, see the advertisement from the CNRS job portal.

For more information on the content of the project, see the project description; and for other questions please contact Rozenn Guérois.
